The Smith Family
Year Round
Cherry lane follows conventional growing practices.
The Smith family immigrated to Canada in the late 1780s, and are leaders in the fruit production and processing industry in Ontario.
In the mid 1950’s, Harold Smith faced a conundrum: too many cherries for too few processing opportunities. Harold decided to purchase processors and began the on-farm facility in 1958, one of the earliest farms to do so in Ontario.
Cherry Lane offers very versatile cherry products – their potent concentrate, dried cherries, as well as frozen and fresh (when in season).
