    About:

Everdale is a registered charity, with a mission to build food resilience in local communities. To accomplish this, we operate a productive organic farm, grow food for people in need, and offer programs and services that increase people's capacity to be impactful ecological and social leaders and innovators. All profits from programs listed below support the charitable mission.

    The Farm

We operate a social enterprise farm. Since 1998, we have produced over 1.8 million kilograms of fresh food. Farm profits support our charitable programs below. The farm serves as an outdoor classroom and program/meeting space for community members. Our main farm products are organic vegetables. We also have small flocks of sheep and chickens and occasionally other livestock. We sell directly to local households as we grow food for food banks and other local organizations that support people in need.

    The Good Food Project

We grow food for and with community members experiencing food insecurity. Since we started this work in 2018, we have grown over 100,000 kilograms of fresh food for neighbours in need.

    Food & Nature Literacy

We work with people of all ages develop food skills and ecological tools. For example, our award-winning Farm School program has taught more than 40,000 school children.

    Farmer Training

Our community needs a new generation of farmers who can effectively care for the land and for people. We have trained hundreds of young regenerative farmers.

    Urban Agriculture

Growing food in cities contributes to human health and ecological diversity. We have helped several urban communities start their own not-for-profit community farms which offer similar programs and services to Everdale.  We also instal micro farms and currently operate a few in Toronto’s downtown core – RBC plaza, Sick Kids Hospital, Scotia Bank Plaza + a few more

    Festivals, Weddings, Overnight Rentals

When people connect with food, the land, and nature they become healthier and more able to contribute to global recovery. That's why we host music festivals, food celebrations, private events & farm stays
